The Seminar That Changed Me: Deep Listening, Self-Trust & Emotional Healing
After returning from a deeply immersive three-day Satvatove foundational seminar, I found myself struggling to re-enter ordinary life. The experience was far more than a workshop; it was a descent into emotional healing, sacred presence, and the uncovering of the “diamond within”: the truest essence of who we are beneath conditioning, performance, and survival patterns.
One of the most profound lessons was learning the art of deep listening and true space-holding. Rather than fixing, advising, or rescuing others, we practiced the quiet power of simply being with them. As a coach, mother, and partner, this stirred something deep within me. I began noticing how often I over-talk, rush toward solutions, or unconsciously slip into a savior role instead of allowing people the dignity of their own unfolding.
The seminar also unearthed unexpected personal truths: a forgotten promise I had once made to God, how my chronic lateness isn’t simply a habit, how my resentment was rooted in my desire to be "right" and "good." (And too much more that's too raw to delve into here.)
As I continue weaving these lessons into my life, relationships, and coaching work, I’m already noticing shifts in the way I show up, listen, and connect.
Sometimes growth doesn’t arrive softly. Sometimes it cracks you open, calls you into radical honesty, and invites you to become more present, more aligned, and more fully yourself.
I share more about this journey in this week’s episode of the Ecstatic Life Podcast.
And if you’re longing for deeper connection, embodiment, and community, I’d love to welcome you into Ecstatic Life Academy, where we’ve just begun gathering every friday for online ecstatic dance!! It's a space to move, feel, release, and come home to yourself.
