What My Raw, Vegan Cleanse is Moving Through Me

April 03, 20261 min read

This past week, I’ve been in it.

I’ve been doing a raw, vegan detox - and unintentionally opening the door to something deeper.

Because it’s not just physical.

There’s been a purging happening.
Waves of grief.
Sadness that doesn’t quite have a story.
Emotions rising up from somewhere beneath language.

And I’ve stopped trying to make sense of it.

I’m just letting it move.

And also intentionally moving it through my body. (If you want to learn how, join my online community for somatic tutorials.)

What’s been coming up for me this week in my cleasnse mirrors so much of what we explore in this week's podcast.

In part two of “The Ethics of Raising and Eating Animals,” we go deeper into the messages coming through from the animals: the awareness, the disconnection, the quiet invitation back to presence and reverence for life.

And I’ll be honest…
I don’t think it’s a coincidence that I’m feeling all of this right now.

There’s something about slowing down.
About becoming more intentional with what we consume...

It opens you.

I don’t have a clean takeaway for you here.

Just this:

If you’ve been feeling more raw like I have, you might just be clearing space for something truer, too.
